Open Door

ONCE I held my heart’s door full wideThat love might enter in;I saw him pass in peacock pride,Nor cast a glance within.
The door stands wide by night and day,The lamp burns on though dim,Lest some lone traveler lose his way.(Love thinks it burns for him.)
