The Department of Public Criticism was a division of the United Amateur Press Association, which fulfilled its duties by reports printed in The United Amateur, which reviewed recent U. A. P. A.–associated amateur periodicals and work published by U. A. P. A. writers. H. P. Lovecraft, the Chairman of the Department for several years, wrote several such reports, which are listed below.
