HERA′GORAS ('Upaydpas), a Greek historian of uncertain date. A work of his, called MeyapiKci, is quoted by Eudocia (p. 440), and by the scholiast on Apollonius Rhodius (i. 211), who calls him Hesagoras. [E. E.]
