BOSWELL, EDWARD (1760–1842), antiquary, was born at Piddletown, Dorsetshire, on 5 April 1760, and practised as a solicitor, first at Sherborne, and afterwards at Dorchester, where he died on 30 Oct. 1842. He published: 1. ‘The Civil Division of the County of Dorset,' Sherborne, 1795, 8vo. 2. ‘The Ecclesiastical Division of the Diocese of Bristol,' Sherborne [1826?], 8vo.
