KENNY, WILLIAM STOPFORD (1788–1867), compiler of educational works, born in 1788, kept for many years a ‘classical establishment’ at 5 Fitzroy Street, Fitzroy Square, London. He was an accomplished chess-player. He died on 16 Nov. 1867, aged 79 (Gent. Mag. 4th ser. v. 113).
