To the Heads of the Executive Departments and the Public Printer:
It is hereby ordered that upon the return to Washington of the First District of Columbia Regiment, United States Volunteers, on Friday the 9th instant, the relatives of said soldiers employed in the several departments of the Government, shall be excused from duty for that day.
