Executive Order 10917 of February 10, 1961
Abolishing Certain Committees on Government Organization and Management Improvement
By virtue of the authority vested in me as President of the United States it is ordered as follows:
Section 1.
The President's Advisory Committee on Government Organization, established by Executive Order No. 10432 of January 24, 1953, and the Advisory Committee on Management Improvement, established by Section 3 of Executive Order No. 10072 of July 29, 1949, are hereby abolished.
Sec. 2.
Such functions of the President's Advisory Committee on Government Organization as are necessary for the orderly termination of its affairs are hereby transferred to the Director of the Bureau of the Budget. All necessary steps pertaining to such termination shall be taken by or under the direction of the Director, and shall be performed in such manner as he may determine.
Sec. 3.
(a) Executive Order No. 10432 of January 24, 1953, is hereby revoked.
(b) Executive Order No. 10072 of July 29, 1949, is hereby amended by deleting Section 3 thereof.
