Executive Order 1192

The Executive Order, dated October 9, 1903, published in General Orders, No. 40, War Department, October 23, 1903, transferring to the War Department, for use as a military reservation, a tract of public land situate in the State of Wyoming, which had been set apart as a public reservation to be known as the "Crow Creek Forest Reserve" by proclamation dated October 10, 1900, with the understanding that the use of the lands for the purposes of a military reservation shall not interfere with the objects for which the forest reserve was established, is hereby modified so that the lands reserved thereby for military purposes, except the tracts, having an aggregate of 320 acres, excluded from reservation by Executive Order of May 28, 1909 (G.O., No. 114, War Department, June 11, 1909), shall be held by the War Department as a military reservation, for target and maneuver purposes, and shall no longer be regarded as in reservation for forest purposes. The reservation, as made by this order, includes all public lands, including the original "Wood Reserve" of Fort D. A. Russell, Wyoming, within metes and bounds as follows:


Beginning at the northeast corner of Township fifteen (15) North, Range seventy-one (71) West, Sixth (6th) Principal Meridian, Wyoming; thence westerly along the township line to the northwest corner of Section three (3), Township fifteen (15) North, Range seventy-two (72) West; thence southerly to the southwest corner section thirty-four (34), said township; thence easterly to the southeast corner of said section; thence southerly to the southwest corner of Section eleven (11), Township fourteen (14) North, Range seventy-two (72) West; thence easterly to the southeast corner of Section twelve (12), said township; thence southerly to the southwest corner of Section thirty (30), Township fourteen (14) North, Range seventy-one (71) West; thence easterly to the southeast corner of Section twenty-five (25), said township; thence northerly along the range line to northeast corner of Township fifteen (15) North, Range seventy-one (71) West, the place of beginning.
