Executive Order 1436

In pursuance of the provisions of Section 1 of the Act of Congress approved July 5, 1884, entitled "An Act to provide for the disposal of abandoned and useless military reservations," the Fort Assinniboine Military Reservation, and the whole thereof, situated in the County of Choteau, State of Montana, which reservation is fully described in General Orders, No. 59, of the War Department, dated April 18, 1908, is hereby placed under the control of the Secretary of the Interior for disposition as provided in said act, or as may be otherwise provided by law, the same, in the opinion of the President, having become useless for military purposes.
