Executive Order 2959

By virtue of the authority vested in me by "An Act to define, regulate and punish trading with the enemy, and for other purposes", approved October 6, 1917, known as the "Trading with the enemy Act," and the amendments to such Act, embodied in "An Act making appropriations to supply urgent deficiencies in appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1918, and prior fiscal years, on account of war expenses, and for other purposes", approved March 28, 1918, I hereby, in the public interest make the following determination and order:


I hereby vest in the Managing Director of the Alien Property Custodian in the Philippine Islands, and his successors in office, to be hereafter appointed by the Alien Property Custodian, all of the rights, powers and authorities with respect to property, rights, titles, and interests in the Philippine Islands, heretofore or hereafter vested in or conferred upon the Alien Property Custodian by me under Executive Order dated October 12, 1917, and all other Executive Orders heretofore or hereafter signed by me, subject, however, to the control, supervision and direction of the Alien Property Custodian at all limes.
