Authorizing Charges for Services Rendered by the Quarantine Division of The Panama Canal.


By virtue of the authority vested in me, I hereby establish the following order for the Canal Zone:


  1. The Governor of The Panama Canal is hereby authorized to establish, from time to time, a schedule of charges to cover services rendered by the Quarantine Division of The Panama Canal in the disinfection of vessels and their cargoes, for the transportation and subsistence of passengers while in quarantine, for placing guards aboard vessels when necessary, and for the inspection of vessels outside of the regular hours; which charges shall be paid to The Panama Canal by the person or interest receiving such service.
  2. The ordinance of the Isthmian Canal Commission, enacted August 5, 1911, and approved by the Secretary of War August 22, 1911, "Providing for night quarantine inspection of vessels at the port of Colon," and all other laws, orders and regulations in conflict with this order are hereby repealed.
  3. This order shall take effect from and after this date.
