The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 8(2) of the Female Genital Mutilation Act 2003(a)[1], hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Female Genital Mutilation Act 2003 (Commencement) Order 2004.
2. The Female Genital Mutilation Act 2003 shall come into force on 3rd March 2004.

This Order brings the Female Genital Mutilation Act 2003 into force on 3rd March 2004.
