Dusk

Into the beautiful duskLight has gone to its death. On the busy streetShadows disappear.
The soft sounds of eveningTempt from the tired, dreaming earthThe little breezes,And the street-trees cry in low tones.
The lights of the streetGive welcome to the night—Darkness of gold and death.Light has gone to its deathFar beyond the wind.
