On a Young Lady.
Beneath this stone a mouldering virgin lies,
Who was the pleasure once of human eyes.
Her sprightly wit the gravest sage admired,
Her blaze of charms the coldest stoic fired!
Wisdom applauded, virtue well approved,
The gay admired her much, the gallant loved;
Amidst which triumphs Death untimely came,
And of this wonder only left a name.
