Are we going with curly quotes on this work ? -- Beardo (talk) 14:38, 8 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

I was, because that's what was in the OCR. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 11:27, 9 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
From WS:MOS:
Use a consistent style of quotation marks ("straight" or “curly”) within a given work. It is recommended to use "straight" quotes in works where there are a large number of contributing editors, since consistent use of “curly” quotes may be difficult to achieve.
If the OCR keeps suggesting curly quotes and everyone uses that then that can be the preferred style, but personally I'm using straight quotations. — rae5e <talk> 13:08, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Which creates a mess because a lot (most ?) of the pages done already use curly quotes. -- Beardo (talk) 19:16, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
I personally don't even like curly quotes, but I'll chime in and say that a substantial amount of the work is already proofread, and most of the pages I see use curlies, so per our standards we should probably keep it consistent and keep using them for this work...
