Well, it looks like it doesn't have a text layer, but if you click the OCR button, the text layer comes. —Clockery Fairfield (talk·contribs) 11:53, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Update: Now it does have a text layer, all credit goes to George here. —Clockery Fairfield (talk·contribs) 04:27, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
- FYI, the OCR button doesn't pull up a text layer embedded in the file; it attempts to computes a text layer for the page on the fly. Hesperian 06:15, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
- Didn't know that before. Thanks! —Clockery Fairfield (talk·contribs) 06:21, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Styling rules for first pages of Chapters
[edit]For uniformity, and for nearness to the actual text, the first page of each chapter, needs the following formatting:
- Chapter heading which declare the chapter numbers, like "CHAPTER I" or "CHAPTER IV", are of the same height as normal text. They just appear larger. They are not. So you only need to center them using: {{c|CHAPTER I}}
- Chapter heading which declares the name of the chapter, like "BEAUTIFUL AS THE DAY" or "NO WINGS", are approximately 76.67% smaller to the normal text. So use {{c|{{font-size|76.67%|BEAUTIFUL AS THE DAY}}}} which will center it and give the correct font-size.
- The first letter at beginning of each chapter dropped. So use {{di|A|4em} for the dropped letter (which is 'A' in this example). The "4em" is the size of the letter. This size closely resembles the actual text.

Illustrations for pages after p.175
[edit]Linework on illustrations for the pages which I've done (page 175 onwards) unfortunately seem to have come out lighter than it should. (Although it was displaying dark enough on my monitor while editing.) I hope to get around to it some time, but there are other works and I might forget. Anybody who'd like to take up the task is more than welcome :) They are on Commons, category "Five Children and It" Thanks —Akme 07:40, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
