Notes for Proofreaders
[edit]- Poems are set using the block center templates. If using the /s template at the beginning of a poem the first line should be on the line below the template;
- Each line in a stanza except the last ends with <br />;
- Between each stanza is a typed double line break (same height as inter-paragraph spacing in other works);
- If a stanza finishes at the bottom of a page, insert two line breaks before the {{nop}};
- Multiple consecutive lines of italics are set with <i> and </i> tags;
- Punctuation is included within the italics tags;
- Where multiple poems (more than one) are fully or partially on a page, then section markers should be used. So far the convention of using the first two or three words of the title as the section name is being used.
- Running headers are being set with italics and small-caps. The short dotted rule is being ignored.
- For the longer poems with numbered sections, type a triple line break before the centred number and a double line break after (see print page 19 for an example);
- If a section finishes at the bottom of a page, insert three line breaks before the {{nop}} (see print page 19 for an example)
