Processing images

I've processed and added a couple of the illustrations to make sure I have got reasonable images for Wikisource. David Nind (talk) 22:26, 27 August 2022 (UTC)

Process:

1. jp2 files downloaded from the Internet Archive.
2. Image files renamed.
3. Imported into darktable for processing
4. Modules applied and processed.
5. Exported as a jpg at 80% quality.

Modules used to process illustration images:

• Default modules (input color profile, output color profile, display encoding, sharpen, orientation)
• White balance: to change background to white
• Rotate and perspective: rotate and adjust perspective if required so that image is not on an angle
• Crop: to remove caption, leave a little space left around the image

Ornaments

I've processed and uploaded the typographic ornaments and ornamental initial capitals, so we should have all the missing illustrations now. Note that some ornaments and initial letters are reused in the text; I've uploaded the best one. —Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 11:42, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
