Common scannos

[edit]
 • Taricheae for Taricheæ
 • Caesar for Cæsar

Standard formatting

[edit]

Sidenotes achieved most easily and legibly by adding the following to the header

sidenotes begin

and where the sidenote text is in the body add (can be 1 line or more than 2 lines)

Line 1 Sidenote<br/>Line 2 Sidenote

Footnotes

[edit]

Although this version of the text renders the footnotes in italics, this is only so that the reader can easily distinguish them from the main text. Because we will display the footnotes at the end of the text italics are not required.

Linking

[edit]

Bible

[edit]

Links to Bible references should be in the format Bible (King James)/Book#chapter:verse. For example, Ezra ii. 64. If the reference is a range of verses, link to the first verse in the range. For a list (with the full names) of the Bible books see Bible (King James)#10.

Josephus's works

[edit]
 • Antiq. Antiq. b. vii. ch. xiv. sect. 7 (each paragraph will need to be marked with an anchor template to name it consistently).
 • Wars
 • Contr. Ap. Contr. Ap. b. i. ch. vii.
 • Life Life. sect. 7 (anchors are in the form s7).
