Lays and Legends of Various Nations (1834)
edited by William John Thoms

Published in monthly parts, with many of the translations by Thoms. Seven were produced, and at least one more, devoted to England, was being prepared when "the work came to an untimely end" as the publisher went bankrupt. Later in the year, they were sold as two unnumbered volumes: Germany (parts 1–3) in one volume, and France, Spain, Tartary, and Ireland in the other.
