London Univ. 1851 and a member of Convocation, J.P., a student of the Middle Temple 14 Nov., 1851, called to the bar 17 Nov., 1855 (only son of Thomas Bruce, of Silcoates, near Wakefield, Yorkshire, gent.); born 10 July, 1829, married 24 July, 1873, Lucy Ann Adams, yr. dau. of late W. J. Hall, Esq., of Bristol.
