Carr-Gomm, Francis Culling, late judge of district and criminal court Tinneveily, E.I.C.S., educated at Haileybury, chairman of London Hospital Dec., 1884, assumed the additional surname of Gomm by royal licence 1878, a student of the Inner Temple 19 Jan., 1867 (then aged 32), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1869 (2nd son of late Rev. Thomas William Carr, of Southborough, Tunbridge Wells); born 25 June, 1834; married 1st, 7 Jan., 1857, Jeanie Elizabeth Chetwynd, youngest dau. of Major Edward Francklyn, H.E.I.C.S.; she died 19 Jan., 1869; he married 2ndly, 17 Aug., 1876, Emily Blanche, only dau. of Andrew Morton Carr, Esq. (and niece of late Field-Marshal Sir William Maynard Gomm, G.C.B., and has issue.
