Cline, George William, F.G.S., LL.D. Glasgow, D.C.L. Jena, two silver and two gold medals, entered B.C.S. 1854, assistant accountant-general Madras 1880 and since 1882, Government inspector of New Bank of Bombay in 1871, author of Indian Law Reform, etc., enrolled in the High Court of Madras 1879, a student of the Middle Temple 22 Oct., 1872, called to the bar 6 June, 1874 (2nd son of late George Robert Cline, Esq., B.C.S.); born 8 April, 1835; married 18 Nov., 1865, Eliza, eldest dau. of late R. Crews, Esq., of London.
