Currie, Fendall, deputy commissioner Lucknow, late city magistrate there, brevet major Bengal army, author of Indian Code of Criminal Procedure, of Indian Law Examination Manual, a student of Lincoln's Inn 1 May, 1872 (then aged 30), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1874 (7th son of Sir Frederick Currie, Bart., D.C.L., a member of Indian council); born 24 Nov., 1841; married 1st, 1 March, 1866, Susan Elizabeth, youngest dau. of Rev. James R. Pears, of Woodcote House, Windlesham; she died 30 June, 1868, leaving issue; he married 2ndly, 28 Dec., 1869, Julia, eldest dau. of Frederick Pole Buller, Esq., Bengal civil service, and has issue (see Foster's Baronetage).
