Drummond, Hon. Edmund, a member of Indian council since 1875, of Bengal C.S. 1831–68, auditor-general India 1856–62, financial secretary to governor of India 1862–3, lieut.-governor North-west Provinces Bengal 1863–8, a student of the Middle Temple 9 April, 1845, called to the bar 12 May, 1848 (3rd son of James, 6th Viscount Strathallan, of Strathallan Castle, co. Perth); born 17 Jan., 1814; married 16 Nov., 1837, Julia Mary, dau. of James Charles Colebrooke Sutherland, Esq., of Calcutta, and has issue (see Foster's Peerage).
