Farwell, George, B.A. Balliol Coll., Oxon, from Rugby, author of A Concise Treatise on the Law of Powers, a student of Lincoln's Inn 25 Jan., 1867 (then aged 21), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1871 (2nd son of late Frederick Cooper Farwell, of Tettenhall, co. Stafford, and of Totnes, Devon); born 22 Dec., 1845; married 5 Aug., 1873, Mary Erskine, dau. of late Vice-Chancellor Sir John Wickens.
