FitzGerald, Baron (Rt. Hon. John David FitzGerald), of Kilmarnock, co. Ennis 1852-60, P.C. Ireland 1856, Great Britain 1882, hon. LL.D., Trin. Coll., Dublin, 1870, a commissioner for national education in Ireland and of charities and endowed schools, admitted a student of Gray's Inn 1 May, 1834, called to the bar at King's Inns, Dublin, , 1838, Q.C. in Ireland , 1847, bencher of King's Inns, Dublin, , 1855, a bencher of Gray's Inn 21 Dec., 1883 (2nd son of David FitzGerald, Esq., of Dublin); born , 1816; married 1st, , 1846, Rose, 2nd dau. of late John D. Donohoe, Esq., of Dublin; she died , 1850; 2ndly, 3 May, 1860, Hon. Jane Matilda Mary, dau. of late Lieut.-Col. Hon. Arthur Francis Southwell (and sister to Thomas, 4th Viscount Southwell), and has issue (see Foster's Peerage).
