(formerly Gorst), of Preston, co. Lancaster]; born 24 May, 1835; married at Geelong, 18 Aug., 1860, Mary Elizabeth, only dau. of Rev. Lorenzo Moore, of Christchurch, New Zealand, sometime incumbent of St. Peter's, Hull (formerly capt. 5th Madras light cavalry).
