Haggard, William Meybohm Rider, LL.M., Trin. Hall, Camb., 1868, LL.B. 1837, senior chairman quarter sessions West Norfolk, late capt. East Norfolk regt. militia, J.P., D.L., author of The Militia: its Importance as a Constitutional Force, a student of Lincoln's Inn 11 Nov., 1837 (then aged 20), called to the bar 28 Jan., 1842 (eldest son of William Haggard Esq., of Bradenham Hall, Norfolk); born , 1817; married 30 May, 1844, Ella, elder dau. and co-heir of Bazett Doveton, Esq., E.I.C.S., and has issue.
