Herbert, Hon. Robert Charles, M.A., St. John's Coll., Camb., 1849, from Eton, chancellor of diocese of Lichfield since 1875, J.P., D.L. Salop, high sheriff 1878, late major Salop rifle volunteers, a student of Lincoln's Inn 2 June, 1849 (then aged 22), called to the bar 30 April, 1853 (4th son of Edward, Earl of Powis, K.G.); born 24 June, 1827; married 22 June, 1854, Anna Maria, only dau. and heir of late Edward Cludde, Esq., of Orleton, Salop, and has issue (see Foster's Peerage, E. Powis).
