Hocking, Henry Hicks, B.C.L., St. John's Coll., Oxon, 1867, B.A. 1864, attorney-general Jamaica since 1880, of Western Australia 1872-9, acting chief justice 1873-4 and for Gibraltar July to Nov., 1879, a student of the Inner Temple 12 Jan., 1865 (then aged 22), called to the bar 18 Nov., 1867 (only son of Richard Hocking, Esq., of Streatham, Surrey); born , 1843; married 1 April, 1874, Elizabeth Mary. 2nd dau. of E. A. Pittis, Esq., of Sydenham Hill, Surrey.
