Hope, Edward Stanley, M.A., Christ Church, Oxon, 1873, third charity commissioner since Feb., 1879, a student of the Inner Temple 9 June, 1866 (then aged 20), called to the bar 10 June, 1870 (4th son of late George William Hope, Esq., of Luffness, co. Haddington); born I Feb., 1846; married 2 June, 1881, Constance Christina, 2nd dau. of Sir John Leslie, Bart., of Glaslough, co. Monaghan, and has issue (see Foster's Peerage, E. Hopetoun).
