Ingham, Sir James Taylor, knighted 31 July, 1876, chief magistrate Bow Street police court since 1876, a metropolitan police magistrate 1849-76, J.P. Yorks West Riding, Middlesex, and Berks, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1832, a student of the Inner Temple 10 Nov., 1828 (then aged 23), called to the bar 15 June, 1832 (2nd son of Joshua Ingham, Esq., late of Blake Hall and Knowl House, Yorks, dec); born 17 Jan., 1805; married 4 Aug., 1S35, Gertrude, dau. of James Penrose, Esq., of Woodhill, co. Cork, and has issue (see Foster's Baronetage).
