Kerr, Robert Malcolm, LL.D. Glasgow Univ. 1857, judge of City of London Court and commissioner of Central Criminal Court since 1859, a commissioner of lieutenancy for city of London, J.P. co. Dumbarton, J.P. Westminster, J.P., D.L. Middlesex, sometime deputy county court judge for North Wales, author of An Action at Law, editor of Blackstone's Commentaries, contested Peterborough 1874 and Kilmarnock 1880, a member of Faculty of Advocates Edinburgh, a student of Lincoln's Inn 16 Nov., 1842 (then aged 21), called to the bar there 28 Jan., 1848, admitted a barrister of the Middle Temple ad eundem 30 April, 1860 (eldest son of John Kerr, Esq., of Glasgow); born 5 June, 1821; married 2 Aug., 1848, Maria, 4th dau. of late Charles Knight, Esq., of London; she died 19 May, 1884, leaving issue.
