Lindley, Rt. Hon. Coll., London, member of Council of Legal Education, author of The Law of Partnership and of Study of Jurisprudence, a student of the Middle Temple 23 Sept., 1847, called to the bar 22 Nov., 1850, Q.C. Jan., 1872, bencher 7 May, 1874, serjeant-at-law 24 May, 1875 (only son of late John T. Lindley, Ph.D., F.R.S., professor of botany at Univ. Coll., London); born 29 Nov., 1828; married 5 Aug., 1858, Sarah Katherine, eldest dau. of late Edward John Teale, Esq., of Leeds (see Foster's Baronetage).
