Merioneth, author of The Law and Practice of the County Courts and of The Supreme Court of Judicature Acts 1873 and 1875, a student of the Middle Temple 27 Jan., 1844, called to the bar 29 Jan., 1847, Q.C. 3 Feb., 1873, bencher 24 April, 1875 (eldest son of Morris Lloyd, Esq., of Cefngellgwm, co. Merioneth); born 14 July, 1822; married 1st, Aug., 1848, Mary, dau. of late Admiral Hon. Charles Elphinstone-Fleeming (see Foster's Peerage, B. Elphinstone); she died 11 March, 1859; he married 2ndly, 20 Sept., 1879, Priscilla Wilby, only child of late James Lewis, Esq., of Cynhyar, Cardiganshire.
