London Univ. 1848, a student of the Middle Temple 15 Nov., 1851, called to the bar 17 Nov., 1856 (only son of Clement McCoan, of Charlemont, co. Armagh, dec.); born 14 July, 1829; married 2 June, 1857, Augusta Janet, youngest dau. of late William Jenkyns, of Elgin, N.B.
