Perceval, Charles Spencer, LL.D. (late fellow), Trin. Hall, Camb., 1858, secretary to the commissioners in lunacy since 1872, treasurer Society of Antiquaries since 1874, director 186‒–73, principal secretary to lord chancellor (Lord Cairns) 1866–8, a student of Lincoln's Inn 22 Nov., 1847 (then aged 18), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1853 (only son of Dudley Montagu Perceval, of London); born 11 Feb., 1829; married 2 Jan., 1868, Mary Elinor Vere, eldest dau. of late Hon. Robert O'Brien, of Old Church, co. Limerick (B. Inchiquin), and has issue (see Foster's Peerage, E. Egmont).
