Petersdorff, Charles Erdman, serjeant-at-law, judge of county courts (circuit No. 57) since 1865, sometime one of counsel to the admiralty, compiler of collection of naval statutes by order of "My Lords," author of A Practical Abridgment of Common and Statute Law as at present Administered, Abridgment of Cases Determined in Courts of King's Bench, etc., 15 vols.; of Practical Compendium of the Law of Master and Servant, a student of the Inner Temple 24 Sept., 1818, called to the bar 25 Jan., 1833, serjeant-at-law 14 June, 1858 (3rd son of Christian F. Petersdorff, of London, merchant); born 4 Nov., 1800; married 15 Nov., 1847, Mary Anne, widow of James Mallock, Esq., of London.
