Ryder, Granville Richard, M.A. Christ Church, Oxon, a member of the Oxford circuit, M.P. Salisbury 1874-80, a student of the Inner Temple 13 Jan., 1857 (then aged 23), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1859 (2nd son of Hon. Granville Dudley Ryder, of Westbrook, Herts); born 22 Sept., 1833; married 19 March, 1864, Sybilla Sophia, dau. of late Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Grant, G.C.H., governor of Bombay, and niece of Charles, 1st Baron Glenelg (see Foster's Peerage, E. Harrowby).
