Lincoln Coll., Oxon, B.A. 1875, a member of the North-eastern circuit, a student of the Inner Temple 28 Jan., 1873 (then aged 19), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1877 (eldest son of William John Sands, of Edinburgh, writer to the signet); born , 1854; married 15 Aug., 1881, Juanita Franzistea, younger dau. of Theodore Praeger, of Mount Vernon, Philadelphia.
