Sankey, Herbert Stuart, B.A., Christ Church, Oxon, 1877, from Marlborough college, recorder of Fordwich since 1880, a member of the South-eastern circuit, a student of the Inner Temple 2 May, 1874 (then aged 19), called to the bar 3 July, 1878 (eldest son of Herbert Tritton Sankey, of Canterbury, solicitor); born 4 May, 1854; married 6 Aug., 1884, Josephine, only child of Hon. George Annesley, of Newcastle, co. Down (see Foster's Peerage, E. Annesley).
