Herts and Northants, of the commission for the lieutenancy of the city of London, a student of Lincoln's Inn 5 June, 1848 (then aged 21), called to the bar 21 Nov., 1851 (2nd son of Charles Soames, Esq., of Wyddial, Herts); born 6 Aug., 1826; married 6 Aug., 1863, Julia Constance, dau. of William Bennett Martin, Esq., of Worsborough Hall, Yorks (see Foster's Yorkshire Collection).
