Sparks, Ernest Algernon, M.A., St. John's Coll., Camb., 1864, assistant director of public prosecutions since 1880, clerk of arraigns on Midland circuit 1876-80, a student of the Inner Temple 8 June, 1860 (then aged 23), called to the bar 30 April, 1863 (2nd son of Thomas Hougham Sparks, Esq., of London); born , 1837; married 16 Aug., 1864, Mary, eldest dau. of late Robert Allen, Esq., of Sudbury, Suffolk.
