Thynne, John Charles, M.A. Exeter Coll., Oxon, B.A. 1860, goes the Western circuit, receiver-general of Westminster Abbey since 1869, a student of Lincoln's Inn 15 Jan., 1863 (then aged 24), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1865 (6th son of Rev. Lord John Thynne, of Hawnes, Beds, D.D.); born 14 April, 1838; married 25 April, 1871, Mary Elizabeth, 2nd dau. of Sir John Atholl Murray-MacGregor, Bart., and has issue (see Foster's Peerage, M. Bath).
