Tomlinson, William Edward Murray, F.R.G.S., M.P. Preston since Oct., 1882, M.A., Christ Church, Oxon, 1862, from Westminster School, law reporter in 'Vice-Chancellor Malins' court for Incorporated Council 1870-8, a member of Inns of Court joint (legal) Board of Examiners since 1877, capt. 1st volunteer batt. Royal North Lancashire regt., a student of the Inner Temple 30 March, 1860 (then aged 21), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1865 (eldest son of Thomas Tomlinson, late a bencher of the Inner Temple, dec.); born 4 Aug., 1838; unmarried.
