Waldegrave-Leslie, Hon. George, F.R.G.S., M.P. Hastings 1859-68, capt. 6th Fifeshire volunteers since 1859, assistant librarian House of Commons 1847-51, official secretary to the speaker 1855-61, private secretary to Sir George Grey (home secretary) 1863-4, D.L. Fifeshire 1861, a member of council of King's Coll., London, 1863, etc., a student of the Middle Temple 30 April, 1846, called to the bar 8 June, 1849 (3rd son of William, 8th Earl Waldegrave, admiral R.N., C.B.); born 30 Sept, 1825; married 22 Jan., 1861, Henrietta Anderson-Morshead, Countess of Rothes (see Foster's Peerage).
