Wallis, (Hon.) John Edward, a judge of international court of first instance in Egypt since 1882, in consular service 1874-81, consul at Port Said 1879-82, matric. London Univ. 1842, a student of the Inner Temple 9 Dec, 1841 (then aged 20), called to the bar 29 Jan., 1847 (eldest son of Edward S. Wallis, Esq., late of London, dec.); born , 1821; married 9 Feb., 1S59, Anna, only dau. of Robert Power, Esq., of Dublin and of Gurtnamena, co. Galway.
