Woodd, Basil Thomas, M.P. Knaresborough 1852-68, 1874-80, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1840, deputy chairman quarter sessions Yorks West Riding, J.P., D.L., and J.P. North Riding, a student of Lincoln's Inn 1 Feb., 1837 (then aged 21), called to the bar 6 May, 1841 (eldest son of Basil George Woodd, Esq., of Hampstead, Middlesex); born 7 July, 1815; married 13 July, 1837, Charlotte Mary, eldest dau. of Rev. John Dampier, of Colinshays, Somerset; she died 18 Jan., 1874, leaving issue (see Foster's Yorkshire Collection).
