MUSICAL COMPOSER,
Was a native of Maidstone. "He was highly valued and admired," says Wood, "not only in England but beyond sea, for his excellent compositions," and was esteemed the "prime composer" of the time of Charles I. and Oliver Cromwell. He was living in 1670.
